LAUREL IMER ISSUES STATEMENT ON DCCC RED TO BLUE LIST INCLUDING CO-07 AND BRITTANY PETTERSON
Golden, CO-- Laurel Imer issued a statement on the recent announcement that the DCCC is targeting Colorado's 7th congressional district as well as Brittany Petterson with their Red to Blue program. Both the NRCC and DCCC are targeting this seat with their respective race targeting programs signaling that this is a competitive battleground district in 2022.
"Yesterday the DCCC (Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee) announced that they will be including Colorado's 7th District and my democrat opponent, Brittany Petterson in their Red to Blue program for the 2022 midterms. As my team and I have been saying for over a year, this race is winnable for the GOP in the 2022 midterm election.
Since March of 2021, I have been on the ground fighting to take back this seat and the US house in 2022 and I continue to be one of the leading candidates in this race based on my dedication to the fight and continued support across the district and the country.
I did not enter this race because it was going to be easy, I entered this race because Colorado and the 7th district deserve leadership in Washington and leadership in our congressional delegation that has been lacking for some time now.
This latest development from the DCCC only signifies that myself and the America First message that my platform is based upon is the only true threat to the Dems in the midterms. The DCCC knows that the people of Colorado want America First leadership in congress and they are simply scared that Colorado will get what it wants.
I am looking forward to a vigorous campaign for both the primary and general elections and I am looking forward to being able to provide America First leadership come January 2023.
This race for some is the "Fastest Path to Washington" but I can assure you, this is not an easy race or a guaranteed win for either party and clearly I am the only candidate that is dedicated enough to win."
